The City of Mount Dora has approved this 70,000 sq. ft. ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY to be built on either side of the boulevard leading up to the gated community of the Lakes of Mount Dora, and an additional 10,000 sq. ft of commercial space to be built on the opposite side. The ALF is permitted for a two story building which will house 160 beds including 36 for memory care support. The facility is designed to cater to the elderly and disabled who are no longer able to live independently. The Lakes of Mount Dora is a 55+ community which will have 1,032 homes when completely built out. And, the community of The Lakes of Mount Dora is among the "Top 50 Best Master Planned Communities in the United States" by Where to Retire Magazine. There are currently about 800 homes completed with several homes currently under construction. The community amenities include a 18,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with a resort style pool and hot tub, a large card/game room, social hall, workout room, tennis courts, pickle ball courts and many other amenities for the residents to enjoy. The ALF will provide a natural transition of residents who would still lake to be active within the community but can no longer live independently.
